Life Drawing from the Model
Figure drawing has always been the cornerstone of artistic training and a tradition at the Art Academy since 2009. It's popular with amateur as well as professional artists. The figure presents many technical problems - form, structure, foreshortening and so on, it allows the artist to display his/her skill. But the nude figure also allows the artist to express a great deal about human nature. Stripped of the cultural baggage of clothing, the nude figure can express every aspect of humanity, from the heroic to the pathetic. When you attend a life drawing class you are participating in a centuries-old artistic tradition!
All mediums accepted. Oil painters must use Turpenoid as thinner.
No instruction, all studio furniture available. We are currently not offering life drawing sessions until further notice. To be in our email list and be notified of our sessions please write to info@artacademyofwestchester.com
